Attacked and robbed in her Birmingham home
An 87-year-old great-grandmother was left with these horrific injuries after being attacked and robbed in her Birmingham home.
The “brutal and heartless” attacker who struck at the home situated just off Hillcrest Road, in Wylde Green on Monday.
The great-grandma had to crawl to a neighbour for help after the attack at around 6.30am when the raider disconnected her phone line.
She didn’t initially hear the man break into her home.
But the offender – who spoke with a local accent – forced her out of bed and took her around the house demanding money. He rifled through drawers stealing jewellery and other precious items.
