OAP tied up and tortured at Edgbaston home

A pensioner was tied up and tortured by a brutal gang of burglars who broke into her home and burnt her with an iron.

The 71-year-old was also beaten with a stick during her 90-minute ordeal.

It happened when the four-man gang forced their way into her home in Somerset Road, Edgbaston, at 11 pm on Monday, January 29.

Her ankle and hands were burnt before they fled at around 12.30am on Tuesday with valuables and her car.
